Education of Jaco Maskin AB in continuous improvement
On June 1, Jaxbird began educating Jaco Maskinservice AB in continuous improvements – lean. Jaxbird is mandated to educate the company’s management group and personnel in the workshop and warehouse/shop in lean’s philosophy and 5S.
5S is a lean methodology to create a culture of continuous collaborator-driven streamlining within the work environment, such as file catalogues, archives, offices, workshops, warehouse and business premises. The basic idea is to reduce the time needed for searching (wastefulness) within the company and increase the time for activities that benefit the customer.
The expected effects of this effort are more time for managers to be managers, less perceived stress among colleagues, shorter delivery times and more satisfied customers
